Hutan Harapan, December 22, 2024 – The new year brings new spirit, as does the spirit of environmental conservation and healthy living continuously promoted by the communities around Hutan Harapan. To celebrate Mother’s Day and welcome the new year, PT. REKI, the manager of Hutan Harapan, held a lively end-of-year festival with various interesting activities. This event is a routine socialization packaged with various competitions about Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). The event, which took place at the Hutan Harapan basecamp, was attended by local communities and company employees. The spirit of togetherness and family was felt strongly as participants took part in various prepared competitions.
Boba Aerobics and Traditional Batin Sembilan Cuisine
Two main competitions that were the highlight of the festival were boba aerobics and a traditional Batin Sembilan cooking competition. The lively boba aerobics not only promoted healthy living but also served as a forum for participants to socialize. Meanwhile, the traditional Batin Sembilan cooking competition successfully presented various delicious and appetizing local dishes.
Remarks by PT. REKI Director
In his remarks, Mr. Adam, Director of PT. REKI, conveyed the importance of maintaining relationships, as well as the habit of healthy living (PHBS) and maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and the stability of the Hutan Harapan area. He hopes that through this activity, the community will become more aware of the importance of environmental conservation and can live in harmony with nature. “This event is not just a celebration, but also a form of our joint commitment to preserving Hutan Harapan. By living healthily and caring for the environment, we have contributed to preserving the future for the next generation,” said Mr. Adam. Furthermore, on this occasion, Mr. Adam, accompanied by community leaders and Mrs. Yunani from Batin Sembilan, carried out a symbolic tree planting in the yard of the Hutan Harapan Besamo School.
